The Miss World Philippines 2011 pageant will be held this August 23 and the winner will represent the country in the Miss World 2011 pageant later this year in China.
Miss World Organization have the new franchise holder in the Philippines – beauty and wellness guru Cory Quirino. Miss World Organization Chairman and CEO Julia Morley was in Manila, Philippines on January 25, 2011 to officially award the local franchise of Miss World pageant to beauty and wellness guru Cory Quirino, who will then head the national search for the Philippine representative to the Miss World pageant.
The awarding of franchise was held at Shangri-la Makati and also with Morley were Miss World 2010 Alexandria Mills from the USA and 1st Runner Up Emma Wareus from Botswana.
