Beauty queens to walk for smiles

Miss Vietnam 2006 Mai Phuong Thuy, Miss Grand Slam Asia 2009 Huong Giang, Miss Vietnam World 2010 Diem Huong and Miss Vietnam 2010 Ngoc Han will participate in meaningful community activities this year.

The top beauties of Vietnam have become ambassadors for the charity program named “ Walk for Life, Walk for Smiles” and they will introduce the photo book entitled “Power of Smile” in order to raise VND1 billion ($20,000) for the Operation Smile Foundation.

With VND1 billion, hundreds of Vietnamese children who suffer from cleft palates will be operated free of charge.

Huong Giang was awarded by Globalbeauties in Vietnam

Global Beauties Organization will make a solemn ceremony at the Park Hyatt Hotel, in  Ho Chi Minh City, to present the most beautiful Miss Asia for Huong Giang, at 18h on 30 July.

Before presentation, a press conference was also held to announce the event. Huong Giang shares, this is a great pleasure and encouragement in her work as well as her life.

Huong Giang beauty blossomed at age 20

During the Miss World took place in 2009, Huong Giang to the impressive depth in our international friends characterized by Asian beauty. Although only the top 16 final, but she always has the poll name in the beauty of the readers of Global Beauties page.  Earlier this year, Huong Giang was voted America's top 3 most contemporary and sexy top 10 Face of the year pretty well on this site. And then outstanding beauty Philppines overcome to win the title Miss Asia's most beautiful.

 In the beauty contest world, Huong Giang (last in, right) expressed confidence in Vietnam as beauty on par with the friends.

Global Beauties to present Miss Grand Slam Asia to Huong Giang

Representatives of Global Beauties, a famous website on world beauty pageants, will go to HCM City to present the Miss Grand Slam 2009 title to Vietnamese model Huong Giang on July 30.

Huong Giang was also voted as one of the three “Sexiest Woman Alive” and entered the top ten for “Face of the Year” on Global Beauties.

At the Miss World pageant in November 2009, she ranked 16th. Huong Giang also won first runner-up in the Top Model competition and entered the top 12 of the Beach Beauty competition at Miss World 2009.

Though the Vietnamese representative didn’t enter the top five of the Miss Grand Slam poll on Global Beauties last year, she won this year as Miss Grand Slam Asia.

Huong Giang listed in top 100 Miss Grand Slam 2009

 Supermodel Huong Giang, Vietnam’s contestant at Miss World 2009 pageant, will compete for the “Miss Grand Slam” title on the prestigious international beauty website, Global Beauties.

This is an annual selection with 100 candidates for the title. They are the winners of pageants or contestants from the final rounds of the five largest international pageants, including: Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss Earth, Miss International and Miss Tourism Queen International.

Miss Grand Slam 2009 included names like Barbados’ Leah Marville (Sexiest Woman Alive 2009), Australia’s Rachel Finch – the third runner-up of Miss Universe 2009, Miss World 2009 Kaiane Aldorino and Miss Universe Stefania Fernandez. Last year this title was presented to Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza.

Previously, Vietnam’s Huong Giang was polled as in the top three for “Sexiest Woman Alive” and in the top ten for “Face of the Year.” She is the only Vietnamese candidate for Miss Grand Slam 2009, compared to three each from South Korea, the Philippines and India, as well as two from China.

Last year Vietnamese model Truong Tri Truc Diem entered the top 50 of Miss Grand Slam 2008.

Miss World: Huong Giang ranks second in Top Model competition

Vietnam’s representative at the Miss World 2009 pageant in South Africa ranked only behind Miss Mexico in the Top Model competition on November 28.

Top Model is a favorite part of the Miss World pageant. This year, contestants modeled 112 costumes of local designers.

The top five models include contestants from Mexico, Vietnam, Martinique, France and Barbados.

Several days ago, Vietnam’s Huong Giang placed in the top 15 of the Beach Beauty competition.

There are 112 contestants at the Miss World 2009 pageant. The swimwear competition took place in Durban city on November 25, with the attendance of South Africa’s first lady.

The finale will be held on December 12 in Johannesburg.
